Chidiya Tapu

Mount Harriet National Park

Mount Harriet National Park is one of the closest wilderness areas to Port Blair, the capital of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The park contains some of the highest peaks in the Andaman group of islands and is covered with dense evergreen and semi-evergreen forests of outstanding natural beauty. This National Park is named after Col. R.C. Tyler's wife Harriet, who was primarily responsible for the clearance of the area for the summer home of the Chief Commissioner.

Cellular Jail

The historical edifice epitomises the rich history of the era. Declared a national memorial, this jail has witnessed the most brutal atrocities suffered by Indian national freedom fighters. The name ‘Cellular’ is derived from the fact that the jail was built entirely from individual cells to ensure solitary confinement. Enjoy the Sound and Light show here that narrates the intriguing story of the freedom struggle of our country. This show is a favourite among tourists who visit Port Blair.

Wandoor Beach

Wandoor Beach is one of the most popular beaches of Andaman which lies at a distance of about 25 km east of Port Blair.
